Philip Woodfield 1991. Torres model. One professional owner from new. An exceptionally open and expressive instrument. Fine spruce top and Indian rosewood body. Schaller machines with rosewood buttons. 650mm string length, 52 mm nut. There is a small crack to the back (repaired by Woodfield). Some of the French polish is faded and there are minor knocks and players marks to the the top. A new model costs £3900 and is the choice of many top players. The guitar has been subject to a sensitive restoration by Pablo Requena. The front has been re-polished and the guitar has been re-fretted. One small crack has been repaired. The machines have been replaced. The result is an amazingly sensitive guitar with a sweet, singing tone. The air resonance is F sharp.
